Research tools for design margins

MARVIN

Research tools for analysing design margins in complex engineered systems

Three integrated modules — parametric margin valuation, top-down margin allocation, and probabilistic margin risk — built around the Margin Value Method.

Module 3 · MARVIN

Probabilistic Margin Analysis

The team and institutions behind the PMA module.

Method

This module implements the established Change Prediction Method developed by P. John Clarkson and colleagues at the Engineering Design Centre, University of Cambridge. Its application to margin analysis is being developed at Chalmers University of Technology.
